Have a Green Stay with Us
Developed according to Audubon International standards, ACE Conference Center is one of the few remaining green areas offering wildlife habitat in the Philadelphia area. We are committed to abiding by the principals and stewardship that ensures viable and sustainable environmental resources in this highly developed, suburban area. The adjoining ACE Club is certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary.
All plastic, aluminum, glass, newspapers, office paper, cardboard, wood pallets, grease, lamps, and batteries used and collected on-site are recycled.
ACE Conference Center donates all of its bar soaps to Clean the World, a non-profit organization that distributes recycled soap products, along with educational materials, to impoverished countries worldwide, and to domestic homeless shelters. Through this recycling program, ACE is helping save millions of lives each year.
Water and cleaning supply usage is minimized by offering guests the opportunity to re-use towels and bed linens during their stay.
All HVAC systems are controlled by an energy management system and are equipped with high-efficiency motors and variable frequency drives. Time programs regulate lighting and thermostats throughout the facility, including compact fluorescent fixtures fitted with dimmable electronic ballast fluorescent lighting. Infrared occupancy sensors installed in various locations ensure energy is conserved when area is not in use. All bathrooms feature low-flow water-saving devices.

Vivreau Bottled Water
By serving Vivreau bottled water in our meeting areas, using our onsite purification and filtration technology we are able to eliminate pollution, transportation and packaging caused by using traditional bottled water. Not only is water being transported by road, creating congestion and pollution, there is also the issue surrounding glass and plastic packaging waste. Re-using will always prove to be more efficient than recycling and will provide an immediate and dramatic impact on our carbon footprint. We are proud of the fact that our Vivreau product has been designed and manufactured specifically to reduce our impact on the environment, while providing a quality drinking water for our guests.
ACE provides ongoing training to employees regarding the Center’s routinely updated environmental practices. To ensure the implementation and maintenance of sustainable initiatives, a staff-led “Green Team” conducts a thorough audit of the property on a regular basis.
Wildlife Conservation and Habitat Enhancements
Wildlife conservation is an integral part of our environmental resource program, including the preservation and improvement of Manor Creek, associated wetlands, and the upland buffer. Overall, 135 acres of wildlife habitat is preserved on the property and as part of our commitment to provide a safe-haven, we also have a no-spray and no-mow policy in place to reduce watershed pollutants and ensure wildlife can survive and thrive.
Water Conservation Management
A large storm water collection and irrigation pond, fed by a system that pipes water from all hardscaped areas at the Center, recycles through the irrigation system. A second large storm water retention pond provides habitat and water resources for a variety of wildlife and functions as a strategic interest component for golfers playing at the nearby hole. In addition, 82 acres of prairie, grasslands, and meadows are landscaped with draught-tolerant native grasses and plants that require little or no supplemental irrigation.
