Don’t be fooled by this serene moment, Kristine and Jason’s October wedding was anything but ordinary. In fact, their wedding went from “romantic” to “crazy” in record time.
One of our favorite couples to date for their playfulness and loving behavior towards each other, Kristine and Jason knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding. A PARTY! And that party started bright and early on the day of the wedding. Jason and his groomsmen certainly didn’t shy away from the camera when photographer Jeff Chin proposed dancing in their underwear. But then, looking at their color-coordinated argyle socks, polka dot boxers and Converse sneakers, it’s a pretty good bet that they were scheming for a photo op.
Not to be outdone by the boys, Kristine and her bridesmaids managed to squeeze in some playtime between their hair and makeup services.
Getting down to the business of getting into the wedding gown requires all “hands on deck” in the bridal suite. Kristine’s strapless ivory satin and lace wedding gown was stunning, as was the silk flower in her hair and classic pearl drop earrings.
…and then there were the shoes. The RED strappy sandals that added that little something sassy every girl needs on her wedding day!
Dressed and ready for the amazing day ahead of them, Kristine and Jason head outside to our beautiful grounds to grab a few photos together before heading to Philadelphia for their wedding ceremony.
Kristine and Jason were married at historic Saint Rita’s Church in South Philadelphia. With its Renaissance architecture and marble high altar, Saint Rita’s is a church rich in history and deep in faith. Stunning seasonal floral arrangements with golden sunflowers, orange roses, bittersweet berries and Fall foliage were placed on the altar. The bride’s family made lovely ivory silk flower pommanders that were hung with brown satin ribbon on the pews down the aisle.
The bridal party hamming it up around Philadelphia after the ceremony.
Arriving at ACE Conference Center via helicopter to a cheering crowd of guests holding sparklers, the happy couple are ready to celebrate their marriage with friends and family.
The bride and groom enjoyed cocktails in the Lobby Bar, Marquis Lounge and outside on the Patio where we passed a variety of hors d’oeuvres and beverages. As the sun set and the temperature dropped, fireplaces were blazing inside and out to take off the chill. It was downright COZY in the Marquis Lounge! After cocktail hour, all 150 guests were invited up to our Marquis Ballroom for dinner and dancing.
From the moment they started their day, it was all about love, laughter and celebration for Kristine and Jason. Thank you for letting ACE Conference Center be a part of your day. Congratulations!
